If You Could Only See Acoustic Version Originally Record by: Tonic Transcribed by Eric Norcross 10/09/09 Updated 04/16/14 This is the version I’ve been playing since I first learned the song back in high school. I've recently been altering my style & approach to this and a few other songs so some adjustments have been edited in (along with a few improvisations that I really dig). ***Capo on 1*** – This is usually relative to voice, but I can’t stand playing it any other way regardless. I play this with all open chords, except when the part comes up “Sayin’ you love but you don’t”, I like to use bar chords for C & G. Most performers use bar chords on the verse chords as well, but I prefer open when playing it acoustically. Lastly, a lot of people have issues figuring out the strumming pattern. You just have to take is slow and work your way up to the speed and rhythm that best fits YOU, over time you’ll figure out the best way to perform it for yourself.
