This is an acoustic version, based off of how Ed performs it live (as seen here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGmy0xfVukY) This is is largely based off version 1 by LYNX-Music, so all credit should really go to them. I simply put the capo on 6 and transposed the chords to be open (and made minor alterations based on the chords Ed typically uses). I am not sure about the G/F# - it was originally a Bm after transposing, but based on the video and the chords he usually uses I think the G/F# might be what he uses instead. Please feel free to suggest an alternative though, as I am not good at identifying chords by ear. **UPDATE 4/19/17** To play the riff between the G and the Em7 on the verse/chorus, you can do the following during the transition: G Em7 e|---3-----------3------------ B|---3-----------3------------ G|---0-----------0------------ D|---0-----------2------------ A|---2------2----2------------ E|---3--3/5---0--0------------ Capo on 6 G (320033) Em7 (022033) Cadd9 (032033) D (xx0232, or 2x0232 if you want to add the thumb) G/F# (200233) [Intro] G Em7 Cadd9 D [Verse 1] G Maybe I came on too strong Em7 Cadd9 D Maybe I waited too long G Maybe I played my cards wrong Oh, just a little bit wrong Em7 Cadd9 D Baby I apologize for it [Pre-Chorus] Cadd9 Em7 I could fall, or I could fly Bm7 Here in your aeroplane And I could live, I could die Cadd9 Hanging on the words you say Am7 Em7 And I’ve been known to give my all And jumping in harder than C D Ten thousand rocks on the lake [Chorus] G So don’t call me baby Em7 Cadd9 Unless you mean it D G Don’t tell me you need me Em7 If you don’t believe it Cadd9 D So let me know the truth Em7 D G/F# G Before I dive right into you [Verse 2] G You’re a mystery Em7 Cadd9 D I have travelled the world, there’s no other girl like you G No one, what’s your history?
