Playing the two bottom notes on alternating beats. (3xxxxx, xx0xxx [x2]; x0xxxx, xx2xxx [x2]; etc.) 2. Playing the bass note pulse with block chords on alternating beats. (3xxxxx, xx020xx [x4]; x0xxxx, xx200xx [x4]; etc.) It's a nice alternative and helps with singing the verses. The most important concept to keep in mind is the dropped sixteenth note in Erlend's part (guitar #1).
