Deaths Door Acoustic

For the main G C transition here is a good way to play it and sounds neat.
Play 2 down strums on the G  followed by a down stroke 
on all open strings(A11), I skip the low E
then 1 down strum on the C,  a pause   then a quick up and down stroke on\
the C before repeating  

The riff from the song that you are mimicking 
with this pattern is played on the top 3 strings
