---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Sweep Picking Practice Tab - Misc Scales ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Tabbed by: Charlie Email: [email protected] Tuning: E (standard) These are two arpeggios (broken up chords) that I found very helpful when learning to sweep pick fast, accurately and efficiently. They are played by dragging the pick across the strings (like playing a chord slowly) and can help to greatly increase your soloing diversity - and make you play like a real shred king!. You can use them as practice and move on to your own sweeped arpeggios, or just play them as they are in your solos! This first pattern uses 3 strings, and is the easier of the two: e|------------12--15-p-12-------------| B|--------13---------------13---------| G|----12-----------------------12-----| D|------------------------------------| A|------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------| This second pattern uses 5 strings, and is slightly more difficult, but should be easy to grasp after a bit of practice: e|--------------------13--17-p-13---------------------| B|----------------15---------------15-----------------| G|------------14-----------------------14-------------| D|--------15-------------------------------15---------| A|----17---------------------------------------17-----| E|----------------------------------------------------| I hope these tabs help you practice your sweep picking, and improve your speed, accuracy and flexibility! If you find it difficult, well, keep practising, and you’ll eventually reach that ‘watch-out-I-melt-faces’ level you want!
