On the actual studio version, in the second verse (the "Gonna make me holler" bit), Ricky doesn't actually play any chords, but instead scratches his strings by running his pick or fingernail up and down the neck, probably on the A and D strings. Also, for the first two "Shang-a-lang" repetitions in the outro, the guitar is tacet. At the end of the third verse, he scratches it again. I think the F# chord in the second verse was played in error. On the studio version, all the chords played are power chords except for the A in the bit about the guanama, which is an Am chord. More properly, it is a B5 chord played on an acoustic guitar downtuned to DGCFAD, resulting in the A sound. Here's the bass tab for the verses: |G----------------------------| |D----------------------------| |A---------------------333555-| |E-0-000-03000-00555555-------| The bass tab played during the Martin Luther King sample/solo is also played during the choruses and throughout the outro. If you're doing the song acoustically, you can just play the chord progression from the chorus during the MLK speech.
