Hans Poulsen – Boom Sha La La Lo A great 'anti-war' song cleverly disguised as a simple 'children's song'. Made #1 for 2 weeks in the Adelaide chart, #5 Australian chart, 1970. This is my version... it seems pretty close to the recorded version, although Hans uses a banjo for parts of the intro and outro.. The clip below shows Hans singing the song on tv... he has a capo on the second fret... so any improvements on my version most welcome!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHIm2ivLCpc Hans Poulsen on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Poulsen Intro: G C G C G / C D In a dreamy little country there's a sleepy Sunday school C D C D Where the school mam Anna- bella teaches sleepy golden rules G / C D But the children were all waiting to hear the church bells ring C D C D They had their own re - li -gion and all they had to do was sing it to the world.
