First Bowie tab... He is like my favourite male solo singer, so it's quite an event to me. The other tabs for this song really sounded mostly wrong, so I decided to tab it properly. The only weird chord is E5, which I play like this: E5 022400 Hope you enjoy it, this song is a real underrated masterpiece. Please rate and comment! ==Edit== David Bowie passed away a few days ago after a tough battle against cancer. Words can't express how I felt when I woke up and got to know about his death, and any attempt to describe how much he and his music have helped me, to phrase what his works mean to me, would probably sound superficial, predictable and dull. Only a few artists have been as determining, significant and important to me as he was, and I thought he was sort of immortal. But he wasn't. Yet I like to think his music will live on and keep inspiring generations... As the poet says, only art can make us eternal, and Bowie will always be my epitome of art. This tab is my personal homage to Major Tom, the Man Who Sold The World, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, Halloween Jack, the Thin White Duke, the Man Who Fell To Earth, the Blackstar... to David Bowie. Thanks for everything, you are my hero. / Em7 / Em / Em7 / / Em G / E5 / E5 / E5 Day after day E7 E They send my friends away E7 E To mansions cold and grey F To the far side of town Dm Em Where the thin men stalk the streets F E5 While the sane stay underground E5 Day after day E7 E They tell me I can go E7 E They tell me I can blow F To the far side of town Dm Em Where it's pointless to be high F E 'Cause it's such a long way down E So I tell them that Dm F I can fly, I will scream, I will break my arm Dm E I will do me harm Dm F Here I stand, foot in hand, talking to my wall Dm E I'm not quite right at all, am I?
