This Bossa Nova is a challenge for the average player,
but I've tried to find the simplest voicings I could whilst
still retaining the feel of the song.

[Intro]
Cmaj7
Dum, dum, dum! Brrring, boom -boom...brrring, boom -boom!
[Verse 1]
Cmaj7
Tall and tanned, and young and lovely,
     D7
The girl from Ipanema goes walking,
     Dm7 Db7-5 Cmaj7
And when she passes, each one she passes goes ...'Ahhh!'
[Verse 2]
Cmaj7
When she walks she's like a samba,
      D7
That swings so cool, and sways so gently,
     Dm7 Db7-5 Cmaj7
That when she passes, each one she passes goes ...'Ahhh!'
[Verse 3]
Dbmaj7 Gb9
Oh, but he watches so sadly,
Db7sus2 A13
How can he tell her he loves her?
D7sus2 Bb7
Yes, he would give his heart gladly,
         Em7 A7-9
But each day, when she walks to the sea,
     Dm7 G7-5
She looks straight ahead, not at he!
[Verse 4]
Cmaj7
Tall and tanned, and young and lovely,
     D7
The girl from Ipanema goes walking,
    Dm7 Db7-5
And when she passes, he smiles,
               Cmaj7
But she doesn't see!
