They can be played in most any key you want, but I tabbed how you typically hear it. It was all done by ear pretty much. Most people do take the key up a half step for the last verse, which literally just moves all the notes up a half step (down one fret). I like to bar the bottom 4 strings on the 8th fret except for during the higher part. There are other ways to play the exact same notes; this is just what was most comfortable to me.
