Key of Dmajor (Bminor)
Use barred versions of all chords. Beginners can use open chords instead, but power chords will obviously rock
much harder.
This is a simple song, but getting the timing right is key. Dru DeCaro plays around with different chords
(Asus, trading 5ths for 4ths, 7th etc) and the guitar drops in and out of the arrangement, but I've tried to
arrange the chords here for a single guitar. If you're playing with a backing band, feel free to do as
Dru does.
For a single guitar: Out of an 8 count of two measures, you will play the first chord (Bminor) of the
progression on the 1st down beat and let it ring. You'll hit that chord again on the 2nd half of the 6th beat,
then play the second (Amaj) and third (Gmaj) chords on beats 7 and 8 respectively.
For the next two measures,
you'll use the same rhythm, but climb back up the progression, from G to A to Bm.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
I've tried to place the chords as accurately as I can in the lyrics, but I suggest you listen to the song to
get a feel for the rhythm the guitar is laying down.
For the turnaround, just hold the A chord from the previous measure, then use the same rhythm and
progression pattern.
