The moon she lays low tonight, and

I pray for morning light
      F
With bloody palms, muddy jeans
                    G C
the mountain mourns, Trevor weeps!
          G
And you claim to be the highyway kind
     F C
But you could take the hard road again
[Verse]
   C G
Springs gone, season change

Shyanne calls my name – all the
F
Get up from a westbound train
                      G C
drags me through the summer rain
     G
And you may have your reasons,
     F C
but you could take the hard road again
[Verse]
     C G
And money comes and money goes
       C G
dirty thing we all own, I
  F
Threw my wallet in the fire
                 G C
some folks think, that I'm a liar

[Verse]
 C G
If you I love is why I'm here I'm here,

and I will take the hard road again
     G
And you can worry wrong and right
    F C
And I will take the hard road again
Please Note: I transcribed the lyrics myself – And I know, that I was awfully
wrong at many on many occasions. Since I am not a nati english speaker I can't
hear it better, please correct! Also I hae the feeling, that they use some
funny beat-shemes beyond the standart 4/4 – I don't get the timing right in
the moment, but the chords, fit more or less (or work very well at least), try it out!
Cheers
