This was done by ear, so it could be wrong. 
The general strumming pattern of this song goes "1 and - and 3 and - and 1 and - and 3 and - and."
On the "1," you play the low E string and strum the rest of the chord on the "and - and." 
On the "3,' you play the A string and strum the rest of the chord on the "and - and." 
Sorry if this is a bad explanation. Listen to the song if it didn't make sense. 
I just looked at a sample page of sheet music, and it said to use C2/E. I prefer C7/E, but you can do
what you want. 
I'm a little iffy about the bridge. Not sure how accurate I am there because it gets difficult to hear the
instruments over Steven Pasquale's [amazing] voice.
