I know Andy Summers plays it with tuning half step up when he plays live, but this way (standard tuning) sounds very good to me (better than if you put a capo on the 1st fret I think) and very close to the record too, especially if you don't hit the e string. There are some chords, especially the Ab chord and in the outro, that sometimes you just have to strum once.
