"When You're Gone" CRANBERRIES To The Faithful Departed At last i found it!!!!The cranberries 3rd track in the departed album.Quite simple as it has just one main riff throughout the song. I think it sounds right.I don't know about tunings and stuff.I just look for the notes.Check it out. Use fingers for the main riff.A pick is ok, but not recommended. main riff: -clean acoustic- throughout 1|-----3----3----3----3-------3----3----3----3---------------| 2|-------4----4----4----4-------4----4----4----4-------------| 3|---------3----3----3----3-------5----5----5----5-----------| 4|-----------------------------------------------------------| 5|-----------------------------------------------------------| 6|-----------------------------------------------------------| 1|-----3----3----3----3-------6----6----6----6---------------| 2|-------3----3----3----3-------6----6----6----6-------------| 3|---------3----3----3----3-------7----7----7----7-----------| 4|-----------------------------------------------------------| 5|-----------------------------------------------------------| 6|-----------------------------------------------------------| Add the fill just before the main riff somewhere near the verse. Hear the song and look where. fill 1: b=bend 1|-----------------| 2|-----------------| 3|-------7b---8----| 4|-----------------| 5|-----------------| 6|-----------------| I think this uses a tremolo bar or a floyd.I tried a wah with an electric but an acoustic???A point to ponder..... fill 2: (=push down bar/floyd/rock wah/vibrato/whatever.... 1|----3(----3(----3(----6(-----| 2|----4(----4(----3(----6(-----| 3|----3(----5(----3(----7(-----| 4|-----------------------------| 5|-----------------------------| 6|-----------------------------| Quite a simple solo.Don't expect any hammer-on pull-off skills here. This ain't metallica or soundgarden. solo: ~=vibrato 1|------------------------------------------------| 2|------------------------------------------------| 3|--8----6----8-----8---6---4------3----4----3----| 4|------------------------------------------------| 5|------------------------------------------------| 6|------------------------------------------------| 1|------------------------------------------------| 2|------------------------------------------------| 3|--3---4---3-----------------------------8-------| 4|--------------3~~---3---5---7---8---10----------| 5|------------------------------------------------| 6|------------------------------------------------| That's all.Mail me for mistakes if there is any.Hope you enjoyed it!!
