Artist: The Thermals Song: Hey You Album: We Disappear the live intro/riff sounds a little different, because live, they play it with a B shape chord when they slide so and it adds a little extra ring to the B string that can sound a bit shrilly and off, but still correct. Regardless of how you choose to play it, I find it easier to play c and D power chords when sliding and throughout the song in general, and also because it sounds more like the record. One thing that is played with the B chord shape is the last c in the Pre-chorus, which I will mark with a star. This extra note is to create contrast from the other c in the Pre-chorus, and it sounds better when you build it up to the chorus. chords: {355xxx} G5 {x355xx} C {x577xx} D {x5777x} D* [Intro] G5 C D G5 D C x4 [Verse] D G5 spook in the back, bug in my head C C the suit a prop, probably dead D G5 now on the run, deep in the blame C C i had a code, i didn’t need a name [Pre-chorus] D C now the only hand left i can see G5 C is pointing straight, straight to the grave D* that is calling for me, G5 C D G5 D C yeah that calling for me!
