“Helden” – David Bowie

Back in 1977, David Bowie decided to head over to what was then West Berlin to record his album 
"Heroes", the title track of which is now a well-known song.  At the same time, he also produced 
a version of this song which has verses 1 to 3 in English, verses 4 to 6 in German, 
the chorus/bridge in German, and then the final verse in English again.  This version, called 
"Helden" (the German word for Heroes) can be found on the "Bowie Rare" compilation album 
of David Bowie songs, and the lyrics to the parts of the song in English are identical to 
those found in "Heroes".
